Positivity with balls, or clit (It’s your choice)

So i’ve been thinking a lot about the different types of celebrity personalities out there and after listening to Amanda Palmer’s Play You Ukulele I had the realisation that not only were people like her and Neil Gaiman great role models for creating art, they were also pretty badass, but in the nicest way possible.

They are positive, but not in the vapid Hollywood love story sense, which doesn’t so much help you realise your problems are manageable, but demands you shut up for an hour and a half while it addles your brain with unrealistic moments and nostalgic soundtracks. These people are positive in the sense that they offer hope, the idea that you can change if you want to, and they usually do it with a smile.

Positivity with balls, or clit is the idea that you can be successful, and a role model, without being a complete arse. The idea that nice people finish last is such a lie, and I love the idea that people are going out and getting what they want with a smile on their face, even if it’s just for the fact that they’ve got the balls or clit to give it a go.

Everywhere I look I see more and more negative witch-hunting mentality, vicious views, and spiteful little trolls. I’d love to connect with more people that can bring the positivity, but manage to show off their balls or clit as they strive to be the exception to the rule . Being nice isn’t a flaw of character, it isn’t an opportunity to let people walk all over you, it’s just you doing your thing and loving every fucking second of it.

Today me and Holly are going out and seeing some markets, drinking a little coffee, and generally hanging out in Manchester. I’m excited to go out in the greyness of England and see what happens. I wrote a short story last night called The Woman Who Could Make Anything, and i’m really excited about it, hopefully i’ll share it soon.
